Attic Insulation Products - Fiberglass - Linked to Home Depot
If you’re insulating an attic, nobody buys just one roll or batt unless you needed an extra! Here are some of the bulk bundled items.
Owens Corning (pink fiberglass insulation) and Johns Manville (white fiberglass insulation) do basically the same thing. Home Depot doesn’t carry a lot of Johns Manville in store in SoCal, but you can order it online.
Blown-In Insulation linked to Home Depot
First off, Home Depot occasionally offers a deal – buy so many cases of fiber and get a 24 hour rental free. It’s not every day, so I can’t tell you when, but I’m hoping if you’re planning on going this route, that either it’s free or at least available on the day you want it! Secondly, the variable R-Value is because YOU, the blower, can choose to fill a space or not fill it. The lower the amount you stuff in the wall, or lay down in your attic, the lower the R Value. The more you fiber in the wall or on the floor of your attic, the higher the R Value.
Roof Coating and Painting
As I found out, it’s hard to find Supertherm, SuperBase or Sunshield, or NXT Cool Coat here in “town” – wherever your town is. I did find it at Home Depot – but I’m not sure it’s a regular item. In any case, if you’re ordering at Home Depot, they order it and you can have it delivered to your store.
